The Beatles - Abbey Road (1969)

The last album published by The Beatles and theirs prelast production. This one was born from the idea of Paul (McCartney) of recording an austere album (a return to the basics, without massive productions), so the band started this new proyect; but in the end the idea was changed without the assent of McCartney, the recordings were given to Phil Spector, who did some changes to some songs (they are all master pieces in my opinion), but precisely because this changes Paul McCartney decides to leave the band establishing the end of The Beatles (of course, there were lots fights before).

Speaking about the musical, here we have big songs, such as "Don't Let Me Down", "Get Back", the famous "Let It Be", the most notables works of Phil Spector: "Across The Universe" and "The Long And Winding Road" and "I Me Mine" by Harrison.

In conclusion, an album that you must have!

The last recorded album by The Beatles (but not the last published). This one shows a madurity in the composition, the melodies and everything.
Here they bring us some of the best jobs they've done. Beauties like "Here comes the sun" and "Something" by Harrison (the best in his beatle age).
Some very nice vocals in "Because", melodies so good as "Come together", "Your never give me your money", "I want You" and "Oh! darling". We must not forget the funny songs "Octopus' garden" (by Ringo), "Maxwell Silver Hammer", etc ... (I was going to say the complete list xD)

In the end , a great disc, and in my opinion only surpassed by Revolver, getting the prize of the second best album of the band.

After arriving to England on September 1966 and be taken under the wing of Chas Chandler, Hendrix formed The Jimi Hendrix Experience with Mitch Mitchell on drums and Noel Redding playing the bass. The group edited three singles that were very successful in England: “HeyJoe”/”Stone Free”, “Purple Haze”/”51st Anniversary” and “The Wind Cries Mary”/”Highway Chile”. By the same time, the band recorded this album with Chas Chandler as producer. After putting the album in the market in England on May of the same year without the three singles (as it was a tradition in the country in that time), “Are you Experienced?” and The Jimi Hendrix Experience became quickly a sensation throughout Europe, but the album arrived to the second place in sales in British lists (only being surpassed by “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” of The Beatles).

After the ascent to the throne with Sgt. Peppers, the Fab Four concentrated in another project of film. A Magic and Misterious Travel. It results in a terrible proyect, but the Beatles gave a Great Album to us (that only left in the beginning in U.S., while in UK it left like double EP). The disc contains greats subjects of the group, such as "Strawberry Fields Forever", "I am The Walrus", "Penny Lane", "The Fool On The Hill", mainly. A Great Album, without doubting. Enjoy!

The Ramones’s second album. Like the first one they use a bunch of songs that were composed right after signing the contract with Sire Records so the style is similar. It’s a pretty nice CD that contains 3 of the classic songs of the band: Sheena is a Punk Rocker, Pinhead and California Sun (by the way, it’s a cover). A nice mix of punk, surf and pop that you will enjoy!

This is an excellent album of one of the best groups in history. It's conformed by two discs, the first is more concrete and it contains “Kashmir”, Plant’s favourite song. And the second is maybe more experimental. With great riffs, and a guitar sound that we can't find anywhere nowadays . Conclusion: An incredible disc.

Velvet Underground - Velvet Underground & Nico(1969)

An excellent CD , one of the best of the XX th century. And I'm not exagerating (?) ; none of this songs are a waste of time , they're all awsome. From the happy "Good Day Sunshine" to the dramatic and exepyional "Eleanor Rigby". The psychodelic "Tomorrow Never Knows" (it really is) , Love You To (with an hypnotizing introduction by a sitar)and "I Want To Tell You" (faithful to it's style). The most beautifuls "Here , There and Everywhere" and For No One". A song that talks about drugs: Doctor Robert ; the lennonian "I'm only Sleeping" ; the singing "Got to Get You Into My Life" ; the nice "Yellow Submarine" and some also great songs such as : "She Said She Said" and "And Your Bird Can Sing".

So , I recommend you this CD to everyone that has never listened it , becaus this album is the one that shows the end of the second stage (from my point of view) and the beginning of the best of The Beatles.

The Beatles - Rubber Soul (1965)

The debut album of the band formed by Lou Reed, John Cale, Sterling Morrison and Maureen Tucker. It was produced by the plastic artist Andy Warhol ; this album, considered one of the most influenced albums in history (even thought in it's years it hadn't got much popularity).
Warhol suggested the incorporation of the model and actress, Nico, who sings three tracks and in others plays the tambourine.
It is a beautiful album contains some of my favourite songs of this group such as: Sunday Morning , Femme Fatale , Venus in Furs , Heroin ... well I stop here cause' I'm gonna tell you every song in the CD xD
In the end , it's a great album. I recommend you to hear it track by track.

Beginning with the second stage of the "BeatleMania" (according to me , and I call it "Transition Phase" , and if composed only by two LP) , we can find the unmistakable "Rubber Soul" with a solid and clear influence of the use of drugs in the band. This album produced 14 excelent songs , the introduction of the cithara in Norwegian Wood , a melancholic song as "In My Life" , a french style (or kind of) song: Michelle , and else make this LP , indispensable!

Fifth Beatle album, with this one finishes the first stage of the "BeatleMania" (from my point of view ...) , a CD with some songs to forget , a jewel of the XX century , and lots of excelent songs of the fabulous four of Liverpool. The disc is half Soundtrack of the second movie of the band (Side A , first 7 songs) and the other are 7 common (?) songs. The songs that stand out are the love ballad "Yesterday" , "Ticket to Ride" and the popular "Help!". My favourite track from the album is "I' ve Just Seen a Face" , but well ... Your opinion is the one that counts.

A pretty irregular album of The Beatles and considered the worst CD of the band (it really sounds ugly , but sincerily the album has great songs that make it in an object to own by every "BeatleFan" =P). The disc represents a setback if we look to the awesome job done in the last album (like A Hard Day's Night), due to including covers and songs of lower elaboration (altough, this is considerable if we look the charge of work they had in those days). My last comment is that it really is not a bad work. Download it You're not going to regret.

The third album of The Beatles and my favourite of the first "Beatlemania" phase (in my opinion , the first 5 CDs compose this stage). None of this tracks are a waste of time. The album is made as the Soundtrack of the movie about the band , with the same title of the CD and filmed in 1964.It is good to mention that all the songs of the CD were composed by McCartney and Lennon. Second disc of the life of this great band, whitout doubts my favorite between all Led Zeppelin albums. Unlike his pedecessor (LZ I) in whom all the song had a strong dose of blues, this disc goes much beyond and it offers an incredible hard-rocker hymns repertorie to us. It is plagued of unforgottable moments, like the beautifull "Thank you", the intense climate of "Moby dick"the explosive riff of "Bring it on home", and a long list of others. Really, one of the best moments of LED Zeppelin and essential disc for all that who worry about his ears (?). A lot of acid and lemon juice.

Another great album with that Queen-like stuff, with very good songs (like "The Show Must Go On", "Innuendo"...), all the normal arrangements. But that makes it an essential album for most Queen fans :)

No doubt, this is a good one from Queen, maybe not that good like "The Game", but it's special, and it has one of my favorites songs of this band: I Want it All. Should it be downloaded? yup.

The Who Sings My Generation

The debut album of this band, and it's a great debut album from Pete, Keith, Roger, and one of my favorite bassists: John Entwistle. It has that nice song called: "My Generation" and a list of very good songs.
